Six of the 11 people detained in an operation carried out on Tuesday related to the armed attack at the "Bling Bling" bar in Cuautitlán Izcalli, State of Mexico, were released as no evidence of their participation in the events was found. The incident at the bar left a balance of six dead and five injured. The other five people have been placed at judicial disposal, where their legal situation and the legality of the detention will be determined.

The Prosecutor's Office intends to charge the detainees with the crimes of homicide, possession of firearms, and possession of narcotics. These five people were joined by two other arrests made on Thursday morning, bringing the total number of those investigated to seven. The transfer of the 11 detainees to the Special Affairs Prosecutor's Office in the city of Toluca was graphically documented by Cuartoscuro agency, following a joint operation by the Prosecutor's Office of the State of Mexico, the State Security Secretariat, the Army, and the Navy.

According to information from the Prosecutor's Office, the arrests were made in flagrant commission, finding individuals in possession of narcotics. After the arrests, the relatives of the detainees protested on Avenida Constitución in downtown Cuautitlán Izcalli, demanding their release. They alleged that the operation was illegal, without arrest warrants and without evidence against them. In addition, they reported that the detainees were subjected on the ground and had their cell phones stolen.
